My daughter has always wanted to do a Disney Run. We did the virtual shorts run and got Pluto medals. She finally talked me into doing a run at Walt Disney World, The Star Wars Dark Side 5K on Friday morning.
Now, I know that no one that knows me would have thought I would have signed up for this, but I sure surprised them. So on Thursday, Marissa and I, will be leaving work at noon and driving to the Run Disney Health and Fitness Expo at The Wide World of Sports and picking up our race bibs and our 5K T-shirt.
I am very excited to get my picture made along the course with different Star Wars Dark Side characters and coming across the finish line to get my finisher medal.
Wish Marissa and I good luck, and I will see you back here Friday with my finisher medal and a proud look on my face for running my first 5K at the tender age of 53.
